This contemporary cane chair is handwoven by artisans in Malawi with sustainable resources and is treated with a rich, matte varnish to prolong its life. Each piece is skillfully weaved by using centuries old traditional weaving methods and takes days to complete. It is truly a work of art.

Made in Malawi with love by skilled artisans from natural materials in remote villages. No two pieces are identical. Handmade processes are used and frays or “ends” of the cane fibers may appear through the weave. Irregularities in shapes, colours, surfaces and finishes may be present. We celebrate any 'imperfections' as part of the unique and authentic nature of the products. Splitting, chips, cracking, natural defects and leeching of natural oils are present in natural timbers and are not considered faults.
